Instrumented Indentation Tester (Non-Destructive Test) is an All-in-one testing equipment for evaluating mechanical properties (yield strength, tensile strength, elasticity modulus, Strain hardening index) in Non-Destructive way called Instrumented Indentation Technique. When it was first developed, it has been called different names such as automated indentation tester, instrumented indentation tester (Non Destructive Test) and portable Indentation tester, but for external activities and promotion, we now use integrated name of “Instrumented Indentation Tester (Non Destructive Test)”.

Instrumented Indentation Tester (Non-Destructive Test) is composed and classified as evaluating properties and case, and the model name is “AIS”. “AIS” is stand for Advanced Indentation System which is addressing integrated instrumented indentation tester (Non Destructive Test), and we have named or numbered models as its features and evaluating properties. (eg. AIS2000(now, AIS2100): Tensile properties evaluation, AIS3000: residual stress measuring model, etc)

Instrumented Indentation Tester (Non-Destructive Test) continually measures indentation depth depend on the indentation load to testing material, and obtains indentation load displacement curve. Obtained data is automatically transferred to computer with wire or wireless. Based on this, it is equipment that allows user to analyze the material properties and prepare a report by clicking simplified program. As it is published as KS B0950, B0951, ISO/TR 29381, KEPIC code MDF A370 and ASME Code case 2703, the technology has been recognized.
